VOICES FROM THE BARRIOS

This website exists as an archive of Oral Histories from the Barrio communities, as told by its current and former residents. This includes the East Barrio (also known as Arbol Verde) and the West Barrio.

Over the last decades, oral histories from residents of the East and West Barrios have been collected. They have now been edited and arranged into this website so that their memories and lived experiences may be shared with a wider audience. This project is ongoing and aims to archive as many photos, videos, and interviews as possible in order to create a cohesive collection that spans the experiences of the residents of the Barrios.
