Current Events in the Community
There is an ongoing project to create a mural in El Barrio Park to commemorate the communities of the Barrios and to solidify El Barrio Park as a historical site.
In December 2025, Jose Antonio Aguirre was chosen to design the project, which will include a mural, 12 art pieces, and an updated park sign.
